CURRICULUM OF ANATOMY

Human Anatomy:

The course shall comprise of
(a)          Principal of Human embryology
(b)          Principal of human genetics.
(c)          Histology.
(d)          Gross Anatomy of the entire human body including Radiological anatomy, living anatomy and applied anatomy.

The practical teaching in Gross Anatomy should be done by the students dissecting the human body along with demonstration of dissected parts, models and charts of other parts. However time should be made available from this period for exposure to community medicine by reducing the quantum of hours allotted for dissection.

Following is the distribution of marks ins the University examination of 1 st M.B.B.S.

UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION IN ANATOMY

TOTAL MARKS: 200

Theory Papers - Two (each of 50 marks)…………………100 Marks.
(One applied question of 10 marks in each paper)
Oral (viva) ……………………………………………………..020 Marks.
